Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you all well. It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, and I want to take a moment to address the current state of our forum and what lies ahead.
First off, I want to acknowledge the challenges we’ve faced. Some time ago, a server upgrade inadvertently broke our original forum, and while we’ve rebuilt and moved forward, I know it hasn’t felt the same for many of you. There’s been frustration, and some have found the transition to the new forum difficult. I understand those feelings, and I appreciate everyone who stuck with us through it all.
At one point, I even considered retiring the forum altogether. But then I remembered how amazing this space once was—a vibrant community where ideas flowed freely, where we connected, learned, and grew together. Those memories reminded me of the importance of having a dedicated space for VPI enthusiasts and audiophiles to gather. After careful thought, I decided the forum must continue.
To make it thrive again, we’ve taken steps to strengthen our team. We’ll be adding additional VPI staff members and promoting dedicated admins to ensure everyone has a great experience. Your voices will always matter here, and we want to create a space where conversations flourish.
2024 was a challenging year for us at VPI. Our production team has been incredible, with our factory stronger than ever, but our office team faced setbacks—personal challenges, health issues, and mismatched roles that forced us to adapt quickly. It was tough, but those challenges also made us more resilient.
Over the past few years, my focus shifted heavily toward my family. COVID, in particular, made me reevaluate where my time was best spent, and I chose to invest in my children—Shyla, Goldy, and Jon. They’ve been my inspiration, and alongside the balance I find in teaching Karate, they’ve helped me see the bigger picture. But now, the time feels right to step back into the forefront of VPI and reconnect with all of you.
This forum has the potential to be something special again. Let’s make 2025 the year we rebuild this space into the amazing community it once was. I ask for your patience and support as we navigate this fresh start together. Think of this as a “New Year, New Forum.”
I’m excited about what’s ahead and look forward to seeing your posts, sharing ideas, and reigniting the passion that makes this hobby so rewarding.
Let’s make it happen.
Mat
