When adjusting the female bearing on a 3D arm what is the proper adjustment height from arm mount base? Also, difference between a 3D and 3DR arm?

Sorry for the late response. The height of the female bearing will depend on the cartridge height and whether you have an oil bath well or no bath at all. In our experience, the cartridge height and setup are usually the biggest factors affecting the bearing height.
Most of the time, you can make all the necessary VTA adjustments with the VTA on-the-fly. However, if you need more adjustment range, you can fine-tune it by raising or lowering the female bearing. Ultimately, the height should allow for some free side-to-side motion without anything making contact.
