I recently got a Super Prime Scout 21 and the cueing mechanism is not working correcting. It's getting stuck "up" and interferes with tonearm azimuth knobs, etc. I was sent a new one but its different than the old one. How do I remove the old one (second photo) and install the new one (first photo)? I can't seem to figure it out.
Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Hi there! Replacing the lifter/cueing mechanism in audio equipment is crucial for ensuring smooth operation and longevity. A faulty mechanism can lead to tracking issues, affecting sound quality and record preservation. Hi Larry and Merry Christmas! 🎄 First take a small slotted screwdriver to remove the padded lift. Then use a small Allen key to loosen the screw holding the lift body in place. It should drop out of the dogleg, although you may have to raise the VTA a bit for it to have enough clearance. You'll have to remove the padded lift on the new one before inserting the new body, and then screw it back on. Good luck!
